Teamwork the key for Cross Country

The Cross Country team gives boys an opportunity to work towards their personal best, and make friends with older and younger students.

CBC Fremantle's Cross Country future is in safe hands, with outstanding performances at both the ACC and All Schools carnivals over the past month.

The College Cross Country team showcased their collective strength in the All Schools event in mid-May, finishing second in the boys' division.

Ky Hehir's blazing performance was a highlight of the day, as he blitzed the 3km course in only 11:21.

The team went from strength to strength at last Thursday's ACC Carnival, taking out the Year 7 division and placing third in a very competitive boys' division.

Izaac Coubrough (Year 9) worked hard to secure his victory in the U15 Inclusive Male category, finishing more than two minutes ahead of his closest competitor.

The team benefited from the experience and skill of Old Boy Riley Burke ('16), who led the Cross Country team on and off the track during his time at the College.

Cross Country offers the boys an opportunity to face and overcome challenges while striving to do their best, which are important lessons in the journey to becoming a CBC gentleman.
